I’d expect creative ideas with full of novelty.

Aiming for smart city equals making an effort for creating a “sustainable and liveable future” where everyone can participate in and live pleasantly, which could lead to solve problems in many fields such as social infrastructure, health/medical services/welfare, transportation, agriculture/food, culture/education, as well as environment/energy tackling with global warming.
In “Next Generation Smart Challenge” program at Kyoto Smart City Expo 2016, we would broadly seek commercialization ideas with full of novelty of young people, and cultivate global venture companies by offering them with an opportunity of making a presentation to leaders in businesses and local governments, and researchers.
I would expect many open and creative ideas coming which challenge them for solving regional problems.
